Best trade copier for MT4 and MT5 in 2026

Six ways to copy trades between your own MT4 and MT5 accounts, read on each vendor's own site today and compared on where they run, direction and follower sizing.

The best trade copier for MT4 and MT5 in 2026 is the one that runs somewhere other than your desk, sizes each follower account on its own terms and copies in both directions between the two platforms. For a trader with accounts on MT4, MT5 or eTrader, our pick is CopySignals. If one of your accounts is on cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker, it is not, and two products below cover those. Every fact about another product was read on that product's own site or documentation on 19 September 2026 and links to the page.

CopySignals is a cloud Telegram signal copier for MT4, MT5 and eTrader: it reads the rooms you already follow through your own Telegram account and places the trades on your own broker account. The same product is an MT4 and MT5 trade copier between your own accounts: any connected account can be the master, and its positions are mirrored onto every other account at that account's own size. We make it, so read our entry as a vendor's entry and the others as a plain reading of what each product says about itself. The Telegram side of the market is covered separately in our list of Telegram signal copiers for 2026.

What makes the best trade copier for MT4 and MT5

When the master opens, changes or closes a position, the followers do the same at their own size. The products differ on five points.

  • Where it runs. Either the vendor keeps a logged-in session for every account on its own servers, or an EA runs inside each of your terminals and the copier is only as awake as the machine those terminals are on. MetaQuotes' own signal service is the second kind: its help page says "your trading account must always be on and connected to the server" and suggests renting a VPS so you do not keep the computer on.
  • MT4 to MT5 and back. A copier that only pairs like with like is useless the day your prop firm hands you an MT5 login while your personal account stays on MT4.
  • How the follower is sized. A fixed lot, a multiple of the master's lot, or the master's lot scaled by the ratio of the two balances. The third is what lets a small account follow a large one at a sensible size, and every serious product has some version of it.
  • Symbols across brokers. The master trades XAUUSD, the follower's broker quotes GOLD or XAUUSD.m. Without a rename or a suffix rule the copy fails quietly.
  • The rest. A maximum lot, an instrument list, reverse copy, and a log that says why a trade did not copy.

The list

1. CopySignals, our pick for MT4, MT5 and eTrader

CopySignals runs a MetaTrader terminal for every MT4 or MT5 account you connect, one per account, on our servers. You install nothing, rent nothing and keep nothing switched on. eTrader accounts are driven through eTrader's copytrading API. Any connected account can be the master, in any direction: MT4 to MT5, MT5 to MT4, either of them to eTrader and back, and across brokers. Each follower has its own sizing: a fixed lot, a multiple of the master's lot, or the master's lot scaled by balance, always capped by a maximum lot you set. Symbol renames with a prefix and suffix are matched to what the follower's broker quotes, and an instrument list, a cap on open positions, a maximum spread and reverse copy are in every plan. The same copier reads Telegram rooms through your own Telegram account, so a funded account and a personal one can follow one room at different sizes. The limit is plain: MT4, MT5 and eTrader only. cTrader, DXtrade and TradeLocker are not supported.

2. MetaCopier

The longest platform list on this page. Its home page says it copies between MetaTrader 4/5, DXtrade, TradeLocker, cTrader and a list of crypto exchanges, and that it "runs entirely in the cloud and does not require a VPS or any software installation". The documentation is precise on sizing: a fixed lot, balance scaling where the slave lot is the master lot times slave balance over master balance, equity scaling, or no scaling, with a multiplier applied on top. The same page describes reverse copying, a maximum lot per position and a cap on the summed size of all open positions, and a view of the current symbol mapping between accounts. Pick it if one leg of your setup is on a platform we do not touch.

3. Duplikium

Its home page says it is "based on the Cloud. No copy trading software or tools to install, no PC to run, and no VPS to pay", and that you connect an account by entering the login, password and broker of your master and slave accounts. Platforms named on that page are MT4, MT5, cTrader, DXtrade and several others, some marked beta. Its support centre lists the sizing options as Auto Risk, Multiplier (Notional), Multiplier (Lot), Fixed Lot or Fixed Unit, and Fixed Leverage, where Auto Risk makes the slave size proportional to the master size and the master account size. Symbols are handled in two layers: the copier works out a broker suffix on its own, EURUSD to EURUSDm, and you map the awkward cases like XAUUSD to Gold by hand. A blacklist or whitelist of symbols, reverse trading and multiple masters to multiple slaves round it out. A safe choice for a multi-platform book.

4. Social Trader Tools

MetaTrader only, and clear about it. The home page says it copies between any MT4 and MT5 accounts and is hosted in the cloud 24/7 with no VPS required, with symbol mapping, pending order support and reverse trading. Its FAQ answers the cross-platform question directly: MT4 to MT5, MT5 to MT4, MT4 to MT4 and MT5 to MT5 are all supported, while cTrader and TradeLocker are not. Sizing is risk by balance, risk by equity, or a lot multiplier, and the home page also shows a fixed lot. Two details worth knowing before you sign up: a lead account can be added with the investor password, but every follower needs the full trading credentials, and the FAQ says there is no free trial.

5. Social Trade Hub

Its site says it will automatically copy your trades to one or more trading accounts, is compatible with MetaTrader, cTrader, TradeLocker and a list of other platforms and exchanges, and is "100% online, no VPS required", using the risk parameters you set. The home page does not describe the sizing modes or symbol handling, so those are the questions to put to them before you connect a live account.

6. MQL5 Signals, the one built into the terminal

Not a copier between your own accounts, but you will meet it, because it is in the MT4 and MT5 terminals already. MetaQuotes' service copies a provider's trades onto your account through a subscription, and its page says that for the subscription to work you use the MetaTrader trading terminal. The help page is candid about what that means: the account must always be on and connected, and you can rent a VPS in order not to keep your computer on all the time. It is the right tool for following a provider listed on that marketplace, and the wrong one for mirroring your own MT4 account onto your own MT5 account.

"Home page does not say" is a statement about the page we read, not about the product. Most of these gaps close with one email to support.

Which trade copier should you pick?

If every account you own is on MT4, MT5 or eTrader, connect them to CopySignals. Pick one as the master, set a fixed lot, a lot multiple or a balance ratio on each follower, cap the maximum lot, and let the terminals on our servers do the copying while yours are closed. Starter is $14 a month for one trading account, Basic is $29 for three and Pro is $149 for thirty, with Business by email for more. Every plan is the whole product, billing is monthly by card or crypto, cancel any time, with a 30 day money back guarantee; the detail is on the pricing page.

If one leg is on cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker, MetaCopier and Duplikium both list them, and Social Trade Hub names cTrader and TradeLocker. If you want MetaTrader only, Social Trader Tools is worth a look, knowing it has no trial. If you follow a provider on the MQL5 marketplace rather than your own account, the built-in signal service is the tool, and the VPS is part of the cost.

Two things hold whichever you choose. A follower account is connected with its trading password, so you are trusting a vendor with a credential that can trade. And a copier reproduces the master's decisions, good and bad, at the size you set. Trading carries risk whichever software sends the order. Start on a demo or a small size, read the log for the first day, and only then let it run. If you also copy a Telegram room into these accounts, where the terminals live and the MT5 setup have their own articles.

Frequently asked questions

For accounts on MT4, MT5 or eTrader where you want nothing running at home, CopySignals is our pick: it runs one terminal per connected account on its own servers, copies in any direction between the platforms, and sizes each follower by fixed lot, lot multiple or balance ratio with a maximum lot cap. MetaCopier and Duplikium are the alternatives if one account is on cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker.
Yes, if the copier is built for both platforms. CopySignals copies MT4 to MT5, MT5 to MT4, and either of them to eTrader and back, across different brokers, with symbol renames matched to what each broker quotes. Social Trader Tools and MetaCopier also state on their sites that they copy between MT4 and MT5.
Not with a cloud copier that keeps the logged-in session for each account on its own servers. CopySignals starts one MT4 or MT5 terminal per connected account on its servers, so your computer can be off. An EA-based copier, or the signal service built into MetaTrader, needs your terminal on and connected all the time, which is where the VPS comes in.
The usual options are a fixed lot, a multiple of the master's lot, or the master's lot scaled by the ratio of the two balances. CopySignals offers all three per follower account, always capped by a maximum lot you set. The balance ratio is what lets a small personal account follow a large funded one at a sensible size.
