Telegram copier with no EA to install

What an Expert Advisor actually requires inside MetaTrader, why that is a separate question from needing a VPS, and which Telegram copiers place trades without one.

An Expert Advisor is a program that has to sit on an open chart inside your own MetaTrader terminal, and MetaTrader will not let it place a single trade until you have switched on AutoTrading. A Telegram copier built as an EA carries that requirement with it: the chart has to stay open, the button has to stay pressed, and your broker has to allow automated orders on that account. A Telegram copier with no EA removes all three, because nothing is attached to a chart you own.

CopySignals is a cloud Telegram signal copier for MT4, MT5 and eTrader: it reads the rooms you already follow through your own Telegram account and places the trades on your own broker account. There is no EA to drag onto a chart, because the terminal that places the orders is not yours to attach anything to.

What an Expert Advisor actually requires

MetaTrader's own documentation is specific about this. The terminal has an AutoTrading button, and MetaQuotes' MQL5 reference states that with it off, "automated trading disabled, running applications are unable to execute trading functions". The same page adds a second layer: even with the button on, "the trade server may disable automated trading for a particular account, preventing Expert Advisors from executing trades even if terminal and program settings permit it". So an EA needs the chart open, the button pressed, and the broker's account-level permission all at once. Any one of the three failing, silently, stops the copier.

None of this is a flaw in MetaTrader. It is how the platform is built, and it is fine for a trader who already runs EAs and knows to check the button after every restart. It is a poor fit for somebody who only wants a Telegram room copied and would rather not learn MetaTrader's automation settings to do it.

No EA is not the same as no VPS

The two claims get bundled on sales pages, but they answer different questions, and a product can solve one without the other. Nexus Copier's cloud option is the clearest example: its own page states "we host your Telegram session in the cloud and parse every signal. Your EA runs on your own MetaTrader and copies the trades", and it goes on to say you only run "the lightweight EA or cBot on your terminal". The Telegram side moved to their servers. The EA, the chart, the AutoTrading button and the account-level permission stayed on yours. That is a genuine no-VPS product and not a no-EA product, and the difference is what you are still responsible for after the Telegram side is someone else's problem.

We covered the VPS side of this on its own in our guide to Telegram copiers without a VPS. This article is about the other half: whether anything has to run on a chart in your terminal at all, VPS or not.

Which Telegram copiers run without an EA

Several vendors build the order side in the cloud too, and their own pages say so plainly. Copygram contrasts itself with the older model directly: "Unlike older Expert Advisor (EA) trade copiers that require you to rent a Windows VPS and keep MetaTrader open 24/7, Copygram is 100% cloud-based", and states it is "100% cloud-based, no VPS or EA required". TelegramFXCopier says the same about its own build: "our cloud-based telegram trade copier runs 24/5 on our servers, so your trades get placed even when your computer is off", with no installation named as a requirement anywhere on the page. TTMT's FAQ states plainly that "TTMT runs entirely in the cloud. The system monitors your Telegram channels and executes trades 24/7, even when your computer is off or you're offline". trade2sync advertises "100% cloud" operation with "no downloads" and setup in the browser. Duplikium's site states it is "based on the Cloud. No copy trading software or tools to install, no PC to run, and no VPS to pay". MetaCopier makes the same claim for its own product: "MetaCopier runs entirely in the cloud and does not require a VPS or any software installation".

Others are less clear about the order side specifically. Telegram Signals Copier's own FAQ says "a VPS/PC with Windows is required. Of course you can use your Windows PC with out any issue" and delivers the product as downloadable software, which reads as a Windows program rather than a cloud order engine, though the page does not use the word EA. Social Trade Hub's page advertises "100% Online•No VPS Required" but also says "the software installs in under two minutes", and its site does not say what that install is or is not. Where a vendor's own page does not say, this article does not guess, and the honest move as a buyer is to ask before you pay, not to assume from the marketing.

How CopySignals places trades without an EA

For every trading account you connect, CopySignals starts a real MT4 or MT5 terminal on our own servers and logs it into your account. That terminal is driven by our parser directly, the same way you would click a buy or sell ticket by hand, so there is no EA object, no chart to keep open, no AutoTrading button and no algo trading permission to grant your broker beyond what the terminal itself needs to place an order. eTrader accounts skip a terminal altogether and are driven through eTrader's own copytrading API. The connection steps for MT5 are in our MT5 setup guide, and the MT4 steps are in the MT4 version.

One copier reads the room, parses the instrument, side, entry, stop loss and every take profit, and sends the order to whichever of your connected accounts you chose, on MT4, MT5 or eTrader, in one pass. Account-to-account copying works the same way: a connected account can be the master, mirrored to your other accounts at their own size, across brokers and platforms, with no EA on either side.

Setting up a copier with nothing to attach

  1. Sign in with your own Telegram account, so any room you already belong to can be copied without the owner installing anything.
  2. Pick the channel or group from your own list of rooms.
  3. Connect the trading account with the broker's server, login and trading password. CopySignals starts the terminal for it on our side.
  4. Set a maximum lot, then choose sizing: a fixed lot, a percent of the account measured against the signal's own stop, or, for account-to-account copying, a multiple of the master's lot or the master's lot scaled by balance.
  5. Choose how several take profits are handled: split with weights, first target only, run to the last, or none.
  6. Match symbol names to what your broker quotes, including any prefix or suffix.
  7. Read the event log for a day before raising the size.

Break even, partial close at each target, a trailing stop and the exit on a stop or last target are handled by the same copier, none of it needing a chart of yours to be open.

What you give up

A local EA is still the right tool if you already run your own EAs and need the copier's trades to sit in the same terminal as theirs, sharing one AutoTrading toggle and one set of open charts. It is also the only option if your account is on a platform CopySignals does not support. CopySignals covers MT4, MT5 and eTrader only; cTrader, DXtrade and TradeLocker are not supported, and the cloud copiers named above that list those platforms are the ones to look at for them.

Platform support is worth checking before anything else, because it decides whether the rest of this article applies to your account at all. A copier that removes the EA and the VPS is no use if it does not speak to your broker's platform in the first place, so confirm MT4, MT5 or eTrader on your statement before comparing what runs where.

What it costs

CopySignals is $14 a month for one trading account on Starter, $29 for three on Basic, $149 for thirty on Pro, and Business by email for more. Every plan is the full product, including the follow-up handling and account-to-account copying; plans differ only in how many trading accounts and Telegram accounts they cover. Billing is monthly by card or crypto through Whop as merchant of record, cancel any time, with a 30 day money back guarantee. Full detail is on the pricing page. Rival prices change and are tiered, so compare them on the vendor's own site rather than a number quoted here.

CopySignals is software. It is not a broker, does not sell signals, does not manage money and gives no advice. It can only place, modify and close orders on accounts you connect, and trading carries risk whichever machine, or terminal, the order comes from.

Which one to pick

If you already run EAs in your own terminal and want the copied trades sitting next to them, a native EA copier such as Nexus Copier fits that setup. If your account is on cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker, one of the cloud copiers above that lists those platforms is the fit, not CopySignals. If you trade MT4, MT5 or eTrader and want the room copied with nothing attached to a chart, no AutoTrading button to remember and no algo permission to keep granted, connect the account to CopySignals' Telegram copier with no VPS and no EA, set the maximum lot, and read the event log before you raise the size.

Frequently asked questions

No. CopySignals runs a separate MT4 or MT5 terminal for each connected account on its own servers and places orders on it directly, so there is no EA object on a chart and no AutoTrading button to switch on. eTrader accounts are driven through eTrader's copytrading API instead.
Not always. Nexus Copier's own page describes a cloud option that hosts the Telegram session but still runs the Expert Advisor on your own MetaTrader terminal, so the VPS question and the EA question can have different answers for the same product.
MetaQuotes' own MQL5 documentation states that with automated trading disabled in the terminal, running applications cannot execute trading functions, and that a broker can also disable automated trading for a specific account regardless of the terminal setting.
Copygram, TelegramFXCopier, TTMT, trade2sync, Duplikium and MetaCopier all state on their own sites that they run in the cloud with no Expert Advisor or software to install. CopySignals places orders the same way, through a hosted terminal per account.
