Gold signal copier for Telegram
How a Telegram copier turns a room's XAUUSD post into a trade on your broker's gold symbol, with the lot, spread and target settings that matter for gold.
A gold signal copier for Telegram reads a room's XAUUSD post, matches the symbol to the name your broker uses for gold, sizes the trade against the signal's own stop and then manages the targets. Gold is where a copier gets tested hardest, because the symbol name, the contract size and the spread all differ from broker to broker.
CopySignals is a cloud Telegram signal copier for MT4, MT5 and eTrader: it reads the rooms you already follow through your own Telegram account and places the trades on your own broker account. This page covers what is different about gold signals, the settings that matter for them, and what the other copiers say about metals on their own sites.
Why is copying gold signals harder than copying EURUSD?
Three things change. The room writes "XAUUSD" or "GOLD" and your broker quotes something else. One lot of gold moves far more money per point than one lot of a currency pair. And gold spreads are wide enough, and move enough, that a fill a few minutes late can sit well away from the entry in the post.
None of these is an error in the signal. They are the reasons a copy that works on a currency pair can misfire on gold with the same settings, so each one gets its own setting below. Trading carries risk, and gold moves fast, so read the numbers on this page as arithmetic and not as a forecast.
How does a copier match XAUUSD to your broker's gold symbol?
You tell it once, with a rename plus a prefix or suffix, and after that every gold post lands on the instrument your broker really quotes. Brokers name the same metal XAUUSD, GOLD, XAUUSD.r, XAUUSDm and other variants, and an order sent to a name the broker does not list is rejected.
On CopySignals the symbol rename, prefix and suffix are set per trading account and matched against the instruments that broker quotes. A room that writes XAUUSD can be sent to an account where gold is called GOLD and to another where it is called XAUUSDm, from the same signal. If you copy the same room to a prop firm account and a personal account at two brokers, expect two different names and set each account once. The Telegram trade copier setup guide shows where the symbol settings sit among the others.
The instrument list is the companion setting. If you only want the room's gold trades and not its indices or currency pairs, list XAUUSD and the rest of the room's instruments are left alone.
What lot size should a gold signal get?
Size it from the stop, not from habit. A fixed lot that is gentle on EURUSD can risk several times as much on gold, so percent of the account measured against the signal's own stop is the method that keeps the money at risk steady when the room's gold stops are wide one day and tight the next.
Here is an invented example, to show the arithmetic and not a real trade. The account holds 10,000 USD and you risk 0.5%, so 50 USD is at risk. The room posts a gold buy with a stop 4 USD of price below the entry. Assume your broker's contract is 100 ounces, which makes one lot lose 400 USD over that move. 50 divided by 400 is 0.125 lots, and a broker that works in steps of 0.01 rounds it to 0.12.
Your broker's contract size may not be 100 ounces. It is in the symbol specification on your own account, and you should read it before you trust any lot figure, ours included. The lot size from risk percent article works both a currency pair and gold through the formula with every assumption stated. Whatever method you pick, set the account's maximum lot, because the cap is what protects you on the day a room posts a stop that is unusually tight.
How do you handle a wide spread on gold?
Set a maximum spread. Gold spreads widen around scheduled news and in thin hours, and a copier that places every signal regardless will fill at the worst point of that. CopySignals has a maximum spread control for exactly this, set per account.
The right number is the broker's, not ours. Watch your own account's gold spread through a normal week, note what it does at the open and at the big releases, and set the limit above the quiet level and below the news level. A delay before placing is the other control that can help here, since a few seconds lets a spike settle. Both are optional, and a tight limit can mean a missed entry, so start loose and tighten only after you have read the log.
What does a gold signal with several targets look like?
Gold rooms often post three or four take profits on one entry, sometimes as an entry zone instead of a single price. CopySignals parses the instrument, the side, the entry or entry zone, the stop loss and every take profit out of free text, and a post that does not read as a trade is skipped with the reason on the event log.
Then you choose what the targets mean for your account. Split the volume across them with custom weights, take the first only, run one position to the last, or set none and let the room's messages close the trade. Break even after a number of targets and a trailing stop are set the same way. Whether break even suits a gold room is worth a demo week: the break even and partial close article walks a full example with the volume at each step.
One practical limit applies to gold more than to most pairs. A small account at a small lot cannot be split into three real closes, because the broker's volume step stops it. If your gold lot comes out at 0.03, use two targets or take the first only.
What do other Telegram copiers say about gold?
Two of them mention metals or gold naming on their own sites. Telegram Signals Copier lists metals signals such as gold and silver and custom lots for gold in its features, and it lists renaming of index, crypto and derived symbols to suit your provider or broker.
TelegramFXCopier says on its home page that when you connect a broker it auto-detects your broker's symbol suffix and gold symbol format, XAUUSD or GOLD, and that broker symbol mismatches are resolved automatically. That is a real convenience if it matches your broker, and it is a different approach from setting the rename yourself. Which one you prefer depends on whether you want to see the mapping or not have to think about it.
Rival features change, so test any copier on a demo account with your own broker's gold symbol before you rely on it, ours included. The comparison of Telegram signal copiers covers the other differences, and the CopySignals vs TelegramFXCopier page goes through that pair in detail.
What CopySignals does not do for gold
It supports MT4, MT5 and eTrader only, so a gold account on any other platform cannot be connected. It is not a signal seller and does not judge a room, so whether a gold room's calls are any good is your own decision. The gold handling is the general settings above, applied to the gold symbol, and your broker's contract specification stays yours to read.
How to set up a gold room on CopySignals
- Connect your own Telegram account and the trading account, as in the guide to copying Telegram signals to MT5. MT4 and eTrader work the same way.
- Rename the symbol, or add the suffix, so that XAUUSD reaches the name your broker quotes for gold.
- Choose percent of the account against the stop, and set a maximum lot.
- Set a maximum spread and, if you want one, a short delay before placing.
- Decide the target weights and break even, then run a demo account for a few gold sessions and read the event log against what the room posted.
The Telegram to MT5 copier page shows the product. Plans start at $14 a month for one trading account, $29 for three and $149 for thirty. Every plan includes the whole product, with a 30 day money back guarantee, and the details are on the pricing page.
