Social Trader Tools alternative: CopySignals vs Social Trader Tools

Social Trader Tools copies trades between MT4 and MT5 accounts and adds an equity monitor. CopySignals reads the Telegram rooms you already follow. Here is what its own site says, side by side.

A Social Trader Tools alternative depends on where your trades start. Social Trader Tools describes itself as a cloud platform for managing MT4 and MT5 accounts and copying trades between them, and the pages we read do not describe reading a Telegram channel. CopySignals is a cloud Telegram signal copier for MT4, MT5 and eTrader: it reads the rooms you already follow through your own Telegram account and places the trades on your own broker account. Every fact about Social Trader Tools below was read on its own site on 30 September 2026 and is linked where it appears.

We make CopySignals, so treat that opening as the vendor's. The rest is a plain reading of what Social Trader Tools says about itself.

What does Social Trader Tools say it does?

Its home page describes a set of five tools: an Account Manager to "Monitor all your MT4 and MT5 accounts from a single dashboard", a Trade Copier to "Copy trades seamlessly between any MT4 and MT5 accounts", an Equity Monitor, a Signal Provider and a Whitelabel product. It is "Hosted in the cloud 24/7" with "No VPS required", and it lists "2k+ Brokers".

That is a good fit for a specific person: a trader or account manager with several MT4 and MT5 logins who wants one dashboard, a copier between them and a rule that switches things off when equity moves too far.

Is CopySignals a good Social Trader Tools alternative?

Yes, if the trades you want copied come from a Telegram room and your account is on MT4, MT5 or eTrader. It is also a reasonable choice if you only need to copy between your own accounts, because that is in the same product. No, if you want the extras Social Trader Tools lists around the copier, such as an equity monitor that can disable the copier, a public signal provider page or a white label copy of the platform. CopySignals has none of those, and it supports MT4, MT5 and eTrader only.

Does Social Trader Tools copy Telegram signals?

The pages we read do not say so. Its trade copier page and its signal provider page do not mention Telegram. Its FAQ page lists a question about copying trades from a Telegram channel, but the answer was not visible when we read the page, so we cannot tell you what it says. If Telegram matters to you, ask the vendor before you pay for anything.

The signal in Social Trader Tools is a trading account. Its Signal Provider feature lets a trader "Publish your trading accounts, attract followers and monetize your strategy with subscriptions or performance fees". A signal there is a trade placed on a lead account and copied to followers.

CopySignals starts from the other end. It reads a Telegram channel or group through your own personal Telegram account, so any room you already belong to can be copied, including one someone else owns. Nothing is sent from that account, and no message is stored beyond a short preview on the event log. It parses free text into instrument, side, entry or entry zone, stop loss and every take profit, and a post that does not read as a trade is skipped with the reason on the event log. Copying a channel you do not own explains how that works.

How do the copiers compare on sizing and order types?

Social Trader Tools lists four sizing methods on its trade copier page: a risk multiplier against balance, a risk multiplier against live equity, a lot multiplier on the lead's lot, and a fixed lot. It also lists "Limit & stop orders, replicated alongside market trades", symbol mapping for brokers that name instruments differently, the option to disable individual symbols, and three ways to handle stop loss and take profit: mirror the lead's level, use the follower's own logic, or a fixed pip distance.

CopySignals sizes each account as a fixed lot, a percent of the account measured against the signal's own stop, a multiple of the master's lot, or the master's lot scaled by balance, always capped by a maximum lot. The percent-against-stop method is the one that matters for a Telegram room, because the room chooses the stop and the lot follows from it. Lot size from risk percent has the arithmetic. Around the sizing there are symbol renames plus prefix and suffix matched to what the broker quotes, word filters, an instrument list, a delay before placing, a maximum spread, a cap on open positions and reverse copy.

What happens after the entry?

Social Trader Tools' trade copier page says "Opens, modifications, and cancellations stay perfectly in sync". The page does not mention partial close or reverse copying, and we did not find a trailing stop or break even rule on the pages we read. That may only mean the page is short.

With a Telegram signal, most of the result comes after the entry, in the follow-up posts. CopySignals handles the whole life of the trade: break even after a chosen number of targets, a partial close at each target, a trailing stop, and the exit when the room reports a stop or the last target. Take profits can be split across targets with your own weights, taken on the first only, or run to the last. See break even and partial close from signal updates.

Which one protects a funded account better?

Social Trader Tools has a dedicated feature here. Its Equity Monitor says "The moment equity crosses a target or protect threshold, the monitor fires", by email, by disabling the copier or by closing positions automatically, and the page mentions that you can "monitor prop firm drawdown limits". For someone running several challenge accounts, that is a real reason to look at it.

CopySignals has no equity monitor. What it offers on a funded account is a maximum lot on every account, a maximum spread, a cap on open positions and a delay before placing, and it can copy a funded account at a different size from your personal one. Whether copying is allowed at all is your prop firm's rule, not ours. Copy trading for prop firm accounts covers what to check.

Where does each one run?

Neither needs a VPS. Social Trader Tools runs in the cloud, as quoted above. CopySignals runs one MT4 or MT5 terminal per connected account on its own servers and drives eTrader accounts through eTrader's copytrading API, so you install nothing and leave no machine on. If you are weighing this against running terminals yourself, our cloud versus local copier article lays out the trade-offs.

Which one should you pick?

Pick Social Trader Tools if you manage several MT4 and MT5 accounts, want a dashboard and equity rules, and your source is a trading account rather than a chat room. Pick CopySignals if you follow a Telegram room and want each post, and each follow-up, turned into trades on MT4, MT5 or eTrader without a bot, a VPS or an Expert Advisor. Setup for the common case is in copying Telegram signals to MT5, and account to account copying is covered on the MT4 and MT5 trade copier page and in copy trades between accounts you own. For a wider field, see the best MT4 and MT5 trade copiers.

Every CopySignals plan is the whole product, from $14 a month, by card or crypto, with a 30 day money back guarantee; see pricing.

A copier places what the source sends and does not improve it. Trading carries risk, so start on a demo account or the smallest size your platform allows.
