What a Telegram signal copier cannot do

A copier places the trades a room posts. It does not judge the room, move your money or work on platforms it was not built for. Here are the limits, stated plainly.

A Telegram signal copier places the trades a room posts on your account, and that is where its job ends. It does not pick good signals, it does not move your money, and it only works on the platforms it supports. CopySignals is a cloud Telegram signal copier for MT4, MT5 and eTrader: it reads the rooms you already follow through your own Telegram account and places the trades on your own broker account. This article lists what that does not cover, so you can decide before you pay.

What can a Telegram signal copier not do?

It cannot make a weak room strong, it cannot trade on a platform it was not built for, and it cannot act on a message it cannot read as a trade. Those three limits cover most disappointments. The rest of this page takes them one at a time, then covers the things people assume a copier does and which belong to somebody else.

Does a copier improve the signals themselves?

No. A copier is a way of acting on a post, not a judge of it. If a room posts entries that the market rarely reaches, or stops that are too tight, the copier carries out exactly that, faster and without hesitation. Trading carries risk, and the risk is yours.

We are also not a signal seller and we give no advice, so we will not tell you which rooms to follow. Choosing a room is a separate decision, and the sensible way to make it is to watch what it posts on a demo account first. The article on copying signals to a demo account first describes how to run that test.

What a copier does change is the part that follows the entry. The result of a signal often depends on the follow-up messages, such as moving to break even, closing half at the first target, or exiting when the room reports a stop. CopySignals handles those through break even after a chosen number of targets, a partial close at each target, a trailing stop, and the exit when the room reports a stop or the last target. That removes missed updates. It does not make the updates good.

Which platforms does CopySignals not support?

CopySignals supports MT4, MT5 and eTrader only. cTrader, DXtrade and TradeLocker are not supported. If your broker or your prop firm gives you an account on one of those, this product cannot place trades on it, and you should look elsewhere or ask the broker whether an MT5 account is available.

We have written separate pages for the two cases readers ask about most: Telegram signals to cTrader and the same question for the newer prop firm platforms. If you trade on MT4, MT5 or eTrader, the pages for Telegram to MT5, Telegram to MT4 and Telegram to eTrader show how the connection works.

Why was my signal skipped instead of traded?

Because the post did not read as a trade, or because one of your own rules said no. CopySignals parses free text for the instrument, the side, the entry or entry zone, the stop loss and every take profit. A post that does not read as a trade is skipped, with the reason on the event log. A message that is a chart screenshot with a caption like "gold again" has no entry, stop or target for the parser to read.

Your own controls also skip trades on purpose. A word filter, an instrument list, a maximum spread, a delay and a cap on open positions are all settings you chose, and each can turn a valid signal into a skipped one. That is the point of them, but it surprises people who forgot they set one. The event log shows the reason for every skip. Start there, and read why a Telegram signal was not copied and how the event log reads if the reason is not obvious.

A signal with no stop loss is a case where the parser and the room disagree about what a trade is. How that is handled is covered in what to do when a signal has no stop loss.

Can a copier guarantee the same fill as the room?

No, and nobody honest will promise it. The room posts a price at one moment. Your broker fills your order at its own quote a moment later, with its own spread, on its own server. The result on your account can differ from the room's screenshots even when the copier does everything right. Why your results differ from the signal room goes through the causes, and slippage on copied signals covers the price gap on its own.

The controls that reduce the gap are a maximum spread and a delay before placing, and both have a cost. A spread limit means you sometimes miss the trade. A delay means you accept a different price. Neither removes the difference between two brokers.

Is a signal copier a broker or a money manager?

No. CopySignals is not a broker, not a signal seller and not a money manager. It holds no funds. It can only place, modify and close orders on the trading accounts you connected, so it cannot withdraw money or move it anywhere. Your balance stays with your broker, and your broker's terms still apply to every trade the copier opens.

That has one practical consequence for funded traders. If you copy onto a prop firm account, the firm's rules on lot size, news trading, copy trading and daily loss are yours to read and follow. A copier does not know them and does not enforce them, apart from the limits you set yourself, such as a maximum lot and a cap on open positions. The maximum lot is always applied to the sizing you choose, whether that is a fixed lot, a percent of the account measured against the signal's stop, a multiple of the master's lot, or the master's lot scaled by balance.

What does a cloud copier give up compared with software at home?

You give up the terminal on your own machine. The MetaTrader terminals for CopySignals run on our servers, one per connected account, so you install nothing and you need no VPS. The trade-off is that you do not open a terminal of ours and tweak it by hand; you control the copier through its settings. If you want a setup you fully run yourself, a local program is the other route, and the article on cloud copiers against local ones sets out the difference.

What does the copier do well, then?

It reads any room you are already a member of, because it uses your own Telegram account rather than asking the owner to install anything. Nothing is sent from that account, and only a short preview is kept in the event log. It handles the whole life of the trade, sizes each account on its own terms, and sends one signal to accounts on MT4, MT5 and eTrader at once. A connected trading account can also be the master, with its positions mirrored to your other accounts at their own size.

Every plan is the whole product. They differ only in how many trading accounts and Telegram accounts they cover, from $14 a month, and there is a 30 day money back guarantee. The pricing page has the plan sizes, and how the plans are counted explains them.

Is CopySignals the right choice for you?

It is if your accounts are on MT4, MT5 or eTrader, the rooms you follow post readable trade messages, and you want the follow-up handled without keeping a computer on. It is not if your only account is on one of those three, or if you are looking for someone to choose signals for you. Run it on a demo account for a few weeks, read the event log, and go live only when the log matches what you expected.
